After losing my son to suicide in 2017, I began a journey to find peace with grief. In 2018, I became a Certified "From Grief to Gratitude" Coach through the Institute of Professional Grief Coaching (IOPGC), where I learned tools to grieve more effectively. Based on my experience, I bring courageous conversation to suicide prevention and straightforward solutions to postvention. I am committed to helping others find growth from grieving. By giving voice to our grief, we can begin to process our pain and move towards a place of purpose and resilience.
GRIEF SPEAKS - and together, we can listen.
The first chapter of my life was dedicated to raising a family. Together with my husband, we raised three boys and one girl. Camping and boating were some of the fun-filled family vacations that we enjoyed. It wasn't all butterflies and rainbows, but on a challenging day nature's surprises always turned my frown upside down! Today, I'm a happy Nana to 15 wonderful grandchildren who never fail to put a smile on my face.
Blessed with an inquisitive personality, I consider myself a perpetual student. I have sought out a variety of resources to expand my knowledge, from self-help books to marriage counseling, and parenting classes. Through these experiences, I have honed my communication skills and gained valuable insights into human behavior. My previous career as a real estate agent gives me perspective to guide others in major life transitions.
As a U.S. Marine mom, I stood by our 2nd son's decision to join the military in the fight against terrorism. During his 8 years of active duty, he served a tour in Iraq and was engaged in combat in Afghanistan during his tour there. Sadly, at the age of 28, he lost his personal battles and took his own life. Now I am committed to helping suicide survivors. In his memory, I am writing a book titled "Forgiving Suicide", available in spring 2025.
Reflections of love ~ give purpose to the pain of grief.
